This morning I woke up and felt like kicking off the day with some Family Trainer. I decided it was probably about time I got some more gameplay videos up on the site for the game. I didn’t add the picture-in-picture in these though due to lack of time. They’re still fun to watch though, due to my Mii falling on his face in the Jump Rope game.

The game uses both the Wii Remote & Power Pad pretty darn well. The Rollerblading exercise for example has you running on the Power Pad while using the Wii Remote on it’s side to steer through the course.

It’s always a fun bonus when I actually need to show you guys how a game is played in a Video Tour. In this brand new Tour for Family Trainer: Athletic World you’ll get to watch me sweat my ass off while playing through 6 of the games.

Another Video Tour for more games will be up very shortly. Just from playing this game about a week I’ve already noticed firmer muscles in my legs. Trust me I check out my legs all the time so I would know.

Family Trainer – Trampoline Gameplay

I took a couple minutes out to snag some Gameplay Footage of a fun trampoline game in Family Trainer: Athletic World. It’s simple, you just jump on the Power Pad and then while your Mii is in the air you step on the arrows that the game indicates to perform stunts. It’s like that Mini Game in Sonic at the Olympic Games, only this one is.. ya know.. fun.

Heyo everyone! I wanted to stop in quickly to put up a few screen shots for Family Trainer: Athletic World. I’m literally at this very moment hard at work on a new Video Tour that shows off the games just like I did with the Wii Fit Tour last year. As you can imagine getting all the footage for a Tour like this takes a good deal of effort and time, so please be a bit more patient.

While you wait for the tour you can check out my Mii in his awesome 90′s workout style clothing in these screens! All the female Miis (Femiis!) in my Mii Plaza totally lust all over my Mii when he is wearing his Family Trainer clothing, yup yup!

Unboxing – Family Trainer: Athletic World

As promised I got my grubby hands on the site’s import copy of Family Trainer: Athletic World this morning. Played it about an hour until my body couldn’t take no more. I’ve been up for like 30 hours now and need my 10 hours of daily sleep! It’s a really fun game that REALLY gives you a work — more so than Wii Fit from what I have played so far!

I’ll be posting a bunch of Gameplay Videos with picture in picture footage of me playing the games later tonight. Video Tours will be up in a day or so as well.

Upcoming Coverage – Family Trainer

Now that Wii Folder is a website that updates several times a week, it’s only natural that I’m going to begin covering more games. I’m the kind of person who loves crazy, fast-paced type games where you can really get into what you’re playing. So having said that – Get ready for some Family Trainer coverage next week!

Family Trainer: Athletic World is a game that controls with something called the Power Pad. Old school gamers might remember this mat from waaaay back in the NES days. In fact Family Trainer (Athletic World in NA) was a NES game that is being remade for the Wii.

Not only does the game use the Power Pad, but it also features games that use the Wii Remote as well. You can even play with 2 people at the same time, each player standing on one side of the pad. Some games are co-op where you work as a team, and some are competitive and pit you against the person beside you.

It seems like a nice fun game to wrap up May with right? I’ve added some screen shots of the game below. Obviously the graphics are very simplistic… but who honestly cares?

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all having a great afternoon. It’s so hot outside, after this post I’m off to begin opening up our pool. I’m obsessed with summer and hot weather, it’s so nice to be done with the crappy cold temperatures!

While I’m gone scrubbing away the slime that accumulates on the pool cover, you guys can take it easy and check out all the latest Japanese updates from the Everybody’s Nintendo Channel! I’ll catch you guys later tonight with some more updates.

This crazy mini game / workout game from Namco actually seems pretty fun. It uses a DDR style mat that 2 players can use at once. I’m thinking of importing this game when it comes out at the end of the month. You guys interested in some coverage for it?

Honestly, I have no clue how to play Mah-jongg. Hell, I had trouble even figuring out how to spell the name! If you’re into the game you should like this Wii Ware version though. It offers Mii support as well as WiFi play for up to 4 people.

When it comes to game genres RPG style is not my cute of tea. Shiren the Wanderer 3 seems to be a VERY Japanese RPG style game that I’m guessing fans may want to keep an eye on. After all Wii is pretty short on RPG games, right?
