Video Series – Looking Back on Wii (Volume One)
This Holiday season the Wii will be pushed aside to make room for it’s new successor known as WiiU. It’s kind of hard to believe it’s been almost 6 years since the good old Wii launched and literally revolutionized video gaming as we knew it. With many excellent titles out there for the platform we think now is the perfect time to look back fondly on some of them. This is Volume One of Two in our collection of Looking Back on Wii.

Klonoa gets a coat of fresh platforming paint in this Wii update to the PS classic.
I have faith that the wii u will be a good replacement. Nintendo hasn’t failed me yet, and I see no reson why they’d start.

It’s called a sakuradai, with the “dai” meaning seabream and “sakura” meaning the color of the cherry flowers.

If you’re playing more japanese games, try to study katakana and hiragana at least. It’s quite helpful.
We have no interest in really learning the Japanese language. It’s pretty useless in all honesty.
Wouldn’t say that learning languages is useless at all, but I must admit that it’s not necessary if it’s only to understand a few games.

Oh, I miss Nintunedo something cronic. I listen to those three episodes over and over again on my way to work. I don’t think they’ll be back though. I’m guessing Josh ran into copyright infringement issues and had to stop. Likely the same problem with the cardboard cutouts. They were great! … Hey Josh, maybe you should apply to work for Nintendo of America! That way everyone could benefit from your brilliant ideas and talent!!!

One Month Later
Hey I really like your videos! I got a Wii not too long ago, and I have a question. From what the Wii U looks like, it doesn’t look as though it will replace the Wii. To me, I think it may run parallel with it and refresh the Wii, giving it a new feeling. For example, you can place the Wii U on the ground and use it to see where your ball is when playing golf. Do you think the Wii will stop making games or come out with newer games that are cross platform, as the commercials show, for Wii and Wii U? I really hope the Wii doesn’t die, and I have faith that the Wii U is just an upgrade/accessory to boost the experience. Thank you.
Do you really believe this? Well, I have to disappoint you, but Wii U (if it’s going to be the final name) will be an all new console. The Wii has already reached it’s dying process, there are only a couple of interesting games left now. Time to get the good games you missed!
That was on the WiiU console not the Wii console during the trailers of golf. It was in HD and a controller can’t make a console HD.
Wasn’t all this type of talk already figured out? It is a replacement, not a controller for upgrading it. Because if you were a developer would you use a cool controller on a dead system or a new fresh system which is much more powerful? Obviously the more powerful one.
