I liked the analysis, I basically agree on all your points. I thought I was the only one complaining about the lack of mission mode, I really spent a lot of time with it in my DS. I like the new characters too, except Metal Mario… (with the huge variety of characters they have in the Mario world…). Maybe in the future we could get new ones by DLC? And the air and water areas are a great addition too, which make you not to miss the motorbikes from Wii.

I’m very in to MK7 right now and having a blast with it.
My one real complaint… it seems like they removed the ability to trade Ghost Data with friends.
Do you know of a new/different mode or function that accomplishes this same task?
I’ve seen Ghost Data transferred via StreetPass. Myself and Nick will show up in each other’s races at times. Other than that I don’t know of a way to trade Ghost data ala MKWii.

Great review but I disagree with a couple things. I understand Nintendo making a 17 character roster because most of in characters in MKWii shouldn’t have been in the game because they weren’t famous enough. Also in MKDS there was only like a 11-12 character roster. But that’s just my opinion. Anyway that was a great review, keep it up
I love Mario Kart 7 sooooo much, but I am (like most people) dissapointed about the character roster . I mean seriously! Let’s get rid of Waluigi, so we can add someone like ohhh…. the honey queen!! My little brother played this and the first thing he asks is who is the fat bee man?? haha Great video!

MK7 is a good game but the only thing i hate is the character roster,no mission mode,and NO QUICK RACE you could only race in time trial & grand prix but i like to race on my fav courses at once instead of having to race a Grand Prix and switch to another just to play my fav courses
i also have been playing it for a month and i have 32,000 coins and still need the Swooper glider,Paraglider and the Red Monster wheels

Great game, and I agree about battle mode feeling too bare bones. Also, the lack of a VS mode is just a weird omission…

Maybe they didn’t add Quick Play, because they didn’t want people just repeating a certain track and picking up the coins…?
As it is I just replay the championships to pick up coins, only it’s less enjoyable because I don’t get to pcik and choose tracks. Boo. I really do think they either completely forgot, or didn’t have time to add it.

It gives you 7 items to use against your opponents.
