The Nintendo 3DS is a system that is full of surprises and easter eggs. In AR Games Fishing for example you can trigger a number of crazy events. Simply by placing different colors under the AR Card you will discover hidden secrets…
Try a BLUE background for a school of Sardines to appear!
A RED background causes Cheep Cheep to flop out of the water!
Try a GREEN background and Koopa Shells rain into the water!
It’s worth noting that every ‘fish’ above can be caught as well. Some other colors we tried but had no luck with were Purple, Yellow, Black and White. What other mysteries does AR Fishing hold? If you catch anything new let us know!

If u put the fishing on a black/brown background u can see stars and the moon and even rain but the fish are still the same
I don’t know if it’s specific to the color or not, but I put it on a black background and it starts to rain, and when the rain clears a rainbow appears and rainbow colored fish enter the water representing each color of said rainbow.
Black gets rainbow, try yellow it works believe me

Ok I just saw someones spotted yellow ;( I know I got a can earlier haha anyone know what it means in the gallery when it says when a hero or real pro turns up can’t remember exactly what it says now, anyone know, also do you get anything for finishing I’ve got 24/31
send over some friend codes if you we can do street pass or mii quest stuff with them.
I got bloopers to pop out of the water and squirt ink at the screen like in mario kart ds. But im not going to reveal what kind of background you need to get it.
another thing is that you can get treasure chests and shoot at them to make them open up.
There’s a Blooper that appears when Lakitu catches it but I don’t think they pop up and shoot ink at you, especially considering you don’t want to say how this happens.
I just need 2 more fishes to complete the gallery.I got the free fishing mode.Fishing is so addicting to me cuz i want to catch all of them.

i dont know how i did it with a yellow backgroundand when i saw that blooper was catchet by the yellow green man on the cloud i saw a fish so i cath it and it is blooper
I have one. if you see the dude on the cloud fishing the squid, you mite get one two at the same time.
if u use yellow u will catch mr ar the yellow block that u shoot
if u put a yellow backround the little yellow box dued comes and starts 2 drown then u have to get it

let me help you guys out
1. Blue background for school of sardines.
).
2. Green background for green koopa shells.
3. Red background for Cheep Cheep.
4. Yellow background for Mr. AR
5. When Lakita flies in three fish will appear in the pond. Only one of these is a blooper. Catch the blooper and you can NEVER catch it again (as far as I know at least). The three fish will dissapear within 5-10 seconds of Lakita leaving unless there is one trying to get hooked. In that case only that fish will stay.
6. When you hear sci-fi music, the UFO will fly in. Unlike what someone said before, the sounds around you do not matter. It doesn’t matter if there is a loud bird in your house. This is a completely random event. Hit the UFO with the bobber on your fishing line and it will fall into the water, releasing a purple fish. Catch this and it will turn into the UFO (I’ve caught 4 so far, 1 of the 4 was King-sized
7. When it rains (according to another post this is triggered by a black background), a rainbow will appear. 5 fish will be released into the water. Each is a rainbow fish of a different color.
Someone help! When i put yellow under the a.r. card, the yellow box dude appears out of the a.r. card drowning! He says ‘help’! How do i save him?
