Nintendo Details NEW Wi-Fi For Nintendo 3DS

Unlike Nintendo’s past Wi-Fi service, the Wi-Fi connectivity for Nintendo 3DS will be closer to what fans have wanted all along. We still have a Friend Code for our systems, however we no longer have to put in a separate code for every game. Once you’ve added a friend’s system code you’ll be able to see what game’s they’re playing and meet up with them. It’s a huge step in the right direction for Nintendo’s WiFi service and I’m sure it will get rid of many headaches when trying to game with friends or family on WiFi.





It’s about time! And it’s a good sign that the Wii successor will have similar functionality.

Who said anything about a Wii successor anytime soon? I don’t think Nintendo is thinking aBout that just yet with the launch of the the 3DS nearing…

I was suprised they didn’t do that with the normal DS already…
Dang. What fans really waited for is a new Wi-fi USB connector. That last one had so many problems.
Whilst this is good, I’d prefer a log-on type feature…
Otherwise if someone loses their 3DS system they’ve lost all their friend codes AND eStore details… As well as the new Play Coins…
Sound great
