The Fold – Mario Sports Mix (Basketball)
It may be cold and snowy outside, but things are sure to heat up on The Fold every Friday night this month! We’ll be playing through a sport each week in the game so stick around for the intense action! This week we’re jumping into some B-Ball action in Daisy Garden. The cool thing about this court is that instead of a boring old basketball hoop, we’re dunking and shooting into Petey Piranha’s giant drooling jaws!

Josh,is there a tourney or season mode in this game?
There’s a Tournament mode, but it’s not that great. Video Review goes up tomorrow night so check it out to learn about it.

I would say that the tournament for dodgeball and some other sport’s tournaments would be great if they weren’t so easy! Even on hard, hard they’re easy, medium. Basketball is a really good tournament mode in my opinion because of the only fact that it’s challenging on hard difficulties. Other difficulties are just a little bit boring but it’s nice to get a basketball score of something like 210 – 2. I just got that score on Bowser Jr. Boulevard today.

Great video! Looks like fun. The choice to have the court vertically feels weird to me. (The ghost basket in the foreground.) Did not seem to bother you guys though. (Somehow I thought it would be sideways like NBA Jam.) Any comment on if that was a good/bad/or no issue decision? Can’t wait for the review of this. Personally I prefer the 3D view in Basketball compared to 2D. NBA Jam felt too “back and forth” in it’s gameplay. In Sports Mix things feel better rounded.
As for the ghost basket it was really only in this court because you need to be able to see if Petey’s mouth is open. All the other B-Ball courts show you the actual basket.
And yes the Basketball in MSM is much better than NBA Jam.

Lol one sport in this game is better than NBA jam so this is a great buy i love the other Mario sports. can´t wait.

Hi guys I wanted to say that I love the show and appreciate the hard work. You guys are using a flat screen TV and the games really look good. I have a flat screen TV at home but the graphics don’t look as good. Are you guys using component cables when playing these games? I would appreciate the help. Thank you!
The videos on the site aren’t filmed from a TV screen. The footage is directly sent into a PC via a chip installed inside of the computer that captures direct feed footage.
