Fun Facts about Wuhu Island!
There are many secrets to discover on WuHu Island. Some of them are easy to spot while others are much more hidden. The list below is a collection of just a few interesting features that Wii Sports Resort has to offer. Feel free to add any other discoveries you may have noticed while playing the game in the comments section below!
#1 – Title Screen Stats
The title screen gives lots of info about all players and
what goals they recently accomplished in different sports.

#2 – Menu Game Updates
On the game’s main menu it will tell you which sport you
play the most, when new modes for games open up and more.

#3 – Flower Medals
Every game in Wii Sports Resort features Flower Medals
for players to earn. To earn a medal you must complete
certain tasks. Most games have 5 different medals.

#4 – Hidden Melons
The Archery sport has hidden Melons on each difficulty.
There are a total of 3 in all and each becomes increasingly
more difficult to hit. When you’re within range of hitting
a melon the camera will pan in rather than staying at your Mii.

#5 – 100 Point Balloons
Pink 100+ balloons appear in Disc Dog after you pop a
50+ Balloon and hit the target’s 100 point spot at the same time.

#6 – Cycling Fun
You can pop a wheelie in Cycling by flicking up on both the
Wii Remote & Nunchaku.
While Cycling you can move around the Analog to ring your bike’s bell.
Use the D-Pad while Cycling to move your camera view around.
WuHu Island features not only Miis you created from the
Mii Channel but also pulls Miis from the Check Mii Out Channel
to appear in crowds and compete against you.
This is the first game to do so.

#7 – Airplane Fun
The Airplane game has a total of 8 fun unlockables which
you win by charting rows of locations on the map.
Use the D-Pad while flying around to change your camera angle.
In the Airplane sport you can shoot a flair gun into the sky
by pressing the 1 button on your Wii Remote.
This also works in the multiplayer.

#8 – Fixed Bowling
In Bowling you no longer let go of the B Trigger to release the ball.
This was no doubt changed due to so many people releasing too
soon or late and having to restart.

Something I’ve found is that when you go out to the ruins in the back of WuHu Island in the Airplane game, you can actually fly further back and find a whale as a location.
Sure, you have to find this to complete the game, but it’s one that took me around 9-10 times playing it to find.

I actually don’t like the fact that you don’t have to let go of any buttons to release the disk or the ball. The game’s basically deciding when to release. That can proove very unconvenient, as shown by your Fold friend, Josh, haha.
no….it have auto mode&manual mode in wii sport resort…..if you want to let go of the B Trigger to release the ball/disk….you can choose manual mode
well,you have choices.
in disc and bowling,you have two different control options.one is automatic,the other ya press,hold,and release B
There are more than 3 melons, in fact there is one in every level in each difficulty. I’ve said it a million times but no one believes me… Also, they are not really all melons, there are cakes and timers and stuff of that sort.
Where / which stages are the others in then? Myself and others have looked for them and found nothing.
In every level ther is one, I will take photos and/or video of them all tomorow.
Sorry about the double post, and I decided to do it tonight, I snapped no all of them since it’s late and I’m tired but I got photos of well over 3.

you can do 12 levels in archery and in every level there is a hidden object
Hey Josh, I was going to say this too, there are different items to shoot on EVERY level, on every difficulty. Some are real easy to see while others are not, to find some of them, just move the camera around EVERYWHERE! If you see any dot, round thing, anything, shoot! Hint: on the last leve in begining, look to the south right of the bridge to find a cake. Hint: To find the easy to hit timer, in the volcano move the camera to the right… hard to see, but you’ll see a red thing next to the rock monument. Shoot down to find a timer! Good Luck.
Also, your report for fixed bowling is only half true, you can set it to let go of B if you want just like in the disc sports.

Hopefully a lot more of Wuhu Island’s secrets will be revealed when Wii Sports Resort is translated into English.

It’s kind of odd they used Wii Fit Island and changed it to Wuhu island in this game, but I’m glad they did because I liked jogging around the island. And supposedly it’s called Wuhu island in Wii Fit Plus too… good idea in my opinion
Has anyone noticed the pronunciation of the name of the island is literally “woohoo” which is the word for xxx acts on Sims? *Eyebrow Raise* Think before you name a location in a video game! People can randomly have an epiphany to know something like that, you know!

And yeah, Jake, I also love the fact the island in Wii Fit and the island in Wii Sports Resort are the same, it adds a little bit more fun to the games, like “oh, look, i jogged through there yesterday!” or “hey, i flew an airplane through here!” when playing either game.

the fact tht you dont press B on bowling is bad in some cases. its diciding when to do it but you may make a mistake. its basicly a little bit harder.

I have the game and I know a lot of facts(that are fun) about this island. One of them is about Wedge Island, The frisbee golf and golf are on this island. There are I Points here and I will make a chart where all the I Points are.
