i know this is old, but pikmin in the ground don’t die, they just stay there until you pluck them. stray pikmin will stay stray until you call them back. at the end of the day, the stray pikmin that you did’nt get back will get eaten, squashed, etc.

After seeing this, i’m astonished at the new features. I can’t believe they were actually able to the that day thing! THat was just wonderful. I’m inclined to buy this game even though I bought the GameCube one. I sucked at Pikmin, believe me. I was actually afraid of the Bulborbs, they scared me. But seeing the new controls, it look like it might be an interesting experience. Oh – and i’m SO getting Mario Power Tennis again. That was my favorite tennis game. And now with Wii controls…I can’t wait.

If you have stray Pikmin, they will dig into the ground.
