Really? I saw on WiiFanboy some comparison shots between Donkey Kong Jungle beat on GC compared to the new Wii version. The Wii version had some better textures.
Are you telling me that instead of making pikmin 3, they just made a port of the original. WTF the original could be played on wii in the first place so why port it.
PEOPLE! THEY ARE MAKING PIKMIN 3! That is EXACTLY why they released the older Pikmin games on Wii; to make sure that Pikmin 3 would sell. They need to make sure that the general public is familiar with Pikmin before releasing it. They don’t want people to think “Pikmin 3? What happened to Pikmin one and 2?”.
Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2(SEPARATELY) are being released as a series called “Play on Wii”. Several other GC games are as well. These videos are of the Pikmin 1 remake.
Pikmin 3 is being made. As I said before, I’m sure that they did the “Play on Wii” series so that people can be familiar with these series(maybe a new Mario Tennis, new Pikmin, so on and so forth) before releasing sequels.
The UK version of Pikmin is due on the 6th February, for those who were interested. The GameCube remakes are being labelled “New Play Control” in European regions though, rather than “Play on Wii”.

I don’t quite see the graphical change in this one, but do the die-hard Pikmin fans CARE? No.
^^ There are no graphical upgrades in any of the Wii remake games.

^^ Actually that comparison shot on WiiFanboy is incorrect. They compared a beta shot of DKJB on Cube to the Wii shot.
In other words the Cube screenshot wasn’t of the Cube game in it’s final form.
