Video Demo – Wii Music Remix Process

The best part of Wii Music is remixing any of the 50 songs to your liking. It’s great because you can really give a song your own personality and style. I think if more people knew just how fun it was to tinker around with each section of the music and make it just the way you like, they would actually become more excited about Wii Music. That said please sit back and relax while I guide you through the step by step process of remixing your own songs in the game.

    You rock Josh!
    Please make more of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was the first viewer btw.
P.S will you get the NA version of ACCF? it comes out first.

  2. Wow, in the end it actually sounded pretty cool!
It’s pretty cool to make a lot of different awesome versions of a song with this. WiiMusic looks like a lot of fun after all.

Despite AC:CF coming out first in North America, Josh will be covering the Japanese version FOR SOME REASON.

If I get this game, I will be hooked on remixing ALL DAY LONG. Try to get the PERFECT Animal Crossing remix that’ll beat yours! XD

  4. Johtoken – Actually although I am buying the Japanese version most of the coverage will in fact be of the English one. I am getting the JP version so I can check out the Japanese Holidays. :)

  5. I’m making a remix of a song every day. I like doing that a lot :)

  6. Oh man, that’s sounds pretty cool. I like the Animal Crossing theme. You make a great job, Josh!

  7. I’m really interested in Wii Music, but I’ll probably wait for a price drop. Looks great though, thanks for the demo, I had alot of questions that you answered on this mode.

  8. mastersworddude

Yeah! now we can exchange friend codes! :)

“My condolences to IGN people who cant find fun in this game.”

  10. Redubbing takes a lot of time and effort.
It’s ironic that Wii Music takes skill to make a good sounding tune whereas in Rock Band or Guitar Hero all you really have to do is line up your button presses when told. I mean, on easy mode, I sounded the same as Slash in Guitar Hero, but I doubt it’s that easy in Wii Music.

Josh, are you trading codes with anyone?

  11. SuperPhillip-

Yeah send me your friend code.

    –Josh

  12. Oh, and can you maybe do a video where you show off the advanced controls of the drums? I heard you could actually play the drums the way you do in real life. If that controls work well together with the balance board, it’d be really cool.

  13. Josh, could you give me you’re friendcode too? Don’t worry, i will send you good ones XD

  14. hey nice vid. i bought wii music too. may i ask you how to get all the songs?

im very interested in the classical tracks, but after completing the rock and expand lessons i only got the common tracks. do you know how to get the others like bach or haydn?

  15. YoursTrulySimon

November 14th here in Europe. I just have to wait.

  16. I got the game and I am enjoying it a lot, more than I expected even.

What I find annoying, though, is that even though I enjoyed the game and called out on its flaws people still say that I am biased because I believed in the game in the first place.

I’ll be the first to say that the game might not be for everybody because not everybody will appreciate music remixing, and that is fine. But it can be an enjoyable process as shown here.

Its also a lot harder than it looks. Its more than just mixing instruments. You have to know how to play it, what notes to play and when to play them. Otherwise you have a mess, even if you played right.

Sorry for rambling but I’m annoyed that people have a vendetta so strong against Wii Music that they are quick to dismiss any positive thoughts on the game.

  17. Here, Josh.
E-mail me if you’re comfortable doing that.

    superphillip32@hotmail.com

You probably don’t want everyone knowing your code nor do I want everyone knowing mine. :)

  18. BTW, Josh I have to correct you at the end.

At the end of a song session it doesn’t ask you to raise or lower the tempo. Sebastian Tute actually asks you to rate the song, 0 being the lowest, 100 being the highest.

To alter the tempo of the song, on the song part screen you select options and the menu will pop up. On the bottom you’ll see a icon with a metronome on it. Click it and it will take you to the tempo screen. That’s where you’ll change the song’s speed.

  19. Awesome video, Josh
Can’t believe I have to wait another two weeks :(

  20. That remix IS awesome.

  21. The whole video doesn’t load, and it thinks the video is done halfway in.

  22. For me it won’t load in LQ. :( And in HQ it’s slow… In LQ the sound loads and not the video… which is really strange…

  23. Why I can’t change the tempo of the song after I press “keep video” button?

  24. you rock josh keep on making the vids

  25. joshy
after that demo, did you re record it afterwards?

  26. I’ve gotta get this game. I love music and I’d love trying to make my own versions of songs.
